Nowadays, in the times of globalization to productively and effectively communicate with people from other countries it is necessary to know their culture, traditions, customs, ethical and moral standards. Moreover, you can have people of different nationalities working in one company and even in one team. Because of this, cross-cultural competence has become even more relevant.
Everybody has to be able to communicate effectively with people from different cultures and of different nationalities. Having a good understanding of cultural differences helps people to get used to an unfamiliar environment where they meet, work and live with people from other cultures. So, cross-cultural competence which is an ability to change mentality, attitude and behavior standards in order to be open and flexible towards other cultures helps to live in the globalized world.
