Although video games have some drawbacks and can make kids addicted to them, they also have a number of benefits. As well as teaching hand-eye coordination, programming and coding skills, they teach kids basic cyber security.
When playing video games, kids face situations and choices that they will face in real life and that will have a direct influence on the level of user protection from cyberattacks. These are the questions of whether to connect to Wi-Fi in public places, save passwords in web browsers, reply to a message from an unknown person and so on. These games show a kid how hackers work and introduce basic skills used in the sphere of cyber security.
