It doesn’t matter how old a person is. Both older people and very young children can start doing it. There are a lot of programs which give even very young kids an opportunity to study the basics before they can write or read. Kids learn coding by playing and they enjoy the process.
The age of 7-8 is the best age to start investing in developing kids’ skills. At this stage they can decide what direction to go: study algorithms, program games, learn to create applications, etc.
At the age of 9-15 children develop the ability to create programs on their own and they can study different programming languages.
