‘Mom, I have no friends.’ That’s what some parents hear from their kids. Everybody needs friends. A friend is someone outside a family, a person with whom we have common interests and common life experiences. A friend gives us his experience, helps us feel important and valuable to others, not only to our family.
However, we need to put a lot of effort to make friends and to make friendships long-lasting. Parents play a great role in teaching kids how to be friends and they set a good example. To make friends easily, we need to help kids develop certain skills. They are communication skills and emotional control.
