Communication skills

The ability to communicate with people and find compromises is a valuable skill without which it is difficult to imagine a successful person. Kids socialise at school and learn how to communicate with their peers. However, this is not always enough, so parents should pay attention to how a child expresses their thoughts, communicates with peers and adults and speaks to the audience.

If kids feel insecure when communicating with people and even with parents, there are simple ways to develop communication skills:

  • regular discussions with parents on various topics – they teach children to correctly express thoughts and ideas, prove that they are right, understand and accept someone else’s point of view
  • after school activities – when doing extracurricular activities, communication is more positive since children have a common interest
