There are several ways to make your kids motivated:
- set a good example. If your kid sees that you read a lot, they will do the same
- support and respect them. If a kid asks you a question to which you do not know an answer, look it up in an encyclopedia together with them
- have mutual interests. Try to be interested in what your kid does and learn something new together
- provide good surroundings. Make sure your kid communicates with friends who have similar interests. If his friends show progress at school, he will try to do the same
- let them be independent. Talk with them as you do with adults. Let them solve their problems themselves, interfere only if they ask you
- do not compare. To compare your kid with other children is to show that somebody is better
