Lifelong Learning

The concept of lifelong learning emerged about a century ago, but it’s only recently becoming a vital part of our lives. Eduard C. Lindeman introduced this idea in his 1926 work in the USA. The American futurist Alvin Toffler famously stated that in the 21st century, illiteracy will not be defined by the inability to read or write, but rather by the inability to learn how to learn.

In the past, professional life typically revolved around a single education, one career, and one job, with individuals building their careers in one field before retiring. However, today’s world is filled with new and complex challenges that require ongoing adaptation and skill development. Lifelong learning is now essential, becoming a fundamental aspect of working processes in many modern companies, helping individuals stay relevant and effective in their careers.
