Many programmers, engineers and developers have one common desire to find out what will happen if… Kids have the same motivation when they take their toys apart to see what is inside. This desire to experiment can and must be used if you want your kids to learn how to program.
Show them what is inside the computer and what it consists of. Take it apart and then assemble it. Ask them to think how the program regulating your family life would work and how it could be improved. Such examples could be used to explain kids the basics of programming.
