The field of knowledge which is essential in the 21st century dates back to almost 200 years ago.
The first programmer was Ada Lovelace, daughter of the poet G. Byron. She was very interested in mathematics and met the inventor of the calculating machine C. Babbage. She was so impressed by his ideas that she described a number of operations which could be done with the help of it.
Babbage’s calculating machine is considered to be the first computer.
