In July 2020, many Twitter accounts were hacked, including verification. Messages about giving out bitcoins appeared on pages of many famous people. Using these messages, hackers asked users to transfer money to an account and promised to double the sum. In this way, many people lost money.
The fact that hackers were able to organize such a cyber attack proves once again that methods of social engineering are very effective. So, to know the basic rules of information security is as important as to know the rules of fire prevention. Parents should tell their kids about the rules of safe behavior on the Internet as soon as kids have access to a computer or a smartphone.
