Ada Lovelace

It is impossible to speak about programming without this woman. But for her, we wouldn’t have computers and programs, nothing! She was passionate about mathematics just like her mother.

She was born in 1815 when a woman scientist was a very rare phenomenon, and in her childhood, she had the best teachers in math.

When she grew up, she didn’t want to get married and have a family and children. She met the creator of the first calculating machine, a prototype of the modern computer. Babbage was giving lectures and Ada was asked to translate them for a foreigner. She spent a lot of time on this changing and filling the gaps in Babbage’s scientific thoughts. Her notes are an example of the first programming.
