Parents have always argued whether or not their kids should be given some pocket money.
When your child is very young, it may not be necessary as they usually spend too little time alone. However, when they grow older, having pocket money will teach them how to spend it wisely.
If you give some sum once a week, kids will need to learn how to spend it so that they have enough for the whole week. Don’t be too strict if they spend all of it on the first day. It is their choice and it will be a good lesson for them.
